Collection: Cassia Beck

As a child Cassia loved to destroy books - creating new outfits and stories for the characters she found within the pages. Now, as a Brighton-based paper collage artist, she continues this curious and whimsical collaboration between ideas old and new. The found and vintage pages and papers she uses are full of stains, rips and hand lettering. These marks of their past lives often become a jumping off point for Cassia’s re-imagining, as she deftly creates new narratives through unexpected and often nostalgic compositions. Inventive use of imagery, shape and colour defines Cassia’s playful practice - the joy of the process tangible in her final creations.
