Hannah Davies

Hannah's dream-like oil paintings explore the theme of reflections. Using transparent layers built up slowly, she evokes a sense of mystery and atmosphere. As light dances across a glass surface, inside and outside are merged, the private and the public tangle together. Abstraction meets representation and we catch a glimmer of time never to be repeated. These are paintings which feel ephemeral and ethereal - fascinated by the in-betweens.

Born in Cambridge, Hannah now lives and works in Cornwall, where she graduated in Fine Art from Falmouth College of Arts.
