A Breath of Joy is an artwork which emerged in Julia's mind during Shavasana, at the end of a yoga session. That beautiful moment of reward where you lie still, let your body relax, and breath. Laden with gold and like a portal to another world, this piece honours that ritual and elevates our senses.

Through Fiona’s deeply atmospheric and evocative original monotypes, we step into the forest. Into the unknown, the wild and a space laden with metaphysical meaning and narrative. An important symbol for Fiona, the forest is both a mysterious, haunting place full of uncertainty and fragility, and a healing, restorative space for the planet and the individual.
In Fiona’s monotype process she utilises rollers, rags and other materials to layer ink upon the plate, using the early ghost layers to create depth and perspective. She draws us deep into the trees with her monotone palette and ethereal, misty mark-making. Based in Walthamstow, Fiona is a tutor at East London Printmakers and studied at Central St Martins.
