Dan’s rich, layered paintings dance between abstraction and representation - abundant with plant life, architectural elements and experimental, abstracted mark-making. A Portsmouth based artist, Dan’s works have a strong cinematic aesthetic - worlds which feel both familiar and unfamiliar are carefully built. Each work is a vibrant tapestry where the manner in which the paint is applied is just as important as the intriguing subject manner and mysterious narrative.
