This artwork is part of Hannah's 'Quiet Reading' series. These paintings offer a glimpse through the window where a figure reads, unaware of our gaze. The reflection flickers over the reader as they indulge in this small ritual. An isolated window of time and solitude. A moment to get completely lost in your own mind and imagination. A quiet habit which marks a vivid inner world. 

The Artist

Hannah's dream-like oil paintings explore the theme of reflections. Using transparent layers built up slowly, she evokes a sense of mystery and atmosphere. As light dances across a glass surface, inside and outside are merged, the private and the public tangle together. Abstraction meets representation and we catch a glimmer of time never to be repeated. These are paintings which feel ephemeral and ethereal - fascinated by the in-betweens.
