Strolling, Chatsworth Gardens
Oil on Canvas, framed in a natural wood floating tray frame measuring 54 x 114 cm.
This series of paintings are grown out of a personal, everyday ritual: the act of seeking out nature. Whether walking through woods, watching light shift, or being still among trees, this repeated return to the natural world, especially living in a city, is what grounds Beau and what gives shape to his work. The act of painting itself is also its own kind of ritual: a process that mirrors the stillness and presence he find outdoors. Painting is a way Beau stays connected to what he has seen and felt.
The Artist
The Artist
Beau Roberts, a young emerging artist based in London, explores the interplay of reality and imagination through oil painting. Rather than a literal depiction of landscape, figure, and still life, he challenges perceptions of the ordinary. Emotion is expressed through his vibrant use of colour and shifting forms; inviting the viewer to reflect on their concepts of residual energy and reality. His paintings are full of vivid, saturated colour and unique mark-making - small dashes and strokes which sweep our eye across the painting surface.
